Not all of us react to life events in the same way. Some of us are wired to react more intensely or take longer to work through emotional events that others may seem to take in stride. While in the reactive state we can say or do things that we later regret. Some people, no matter how hard they try to be "chill", regularly feel the clench of anxiety. This can lead to self-judgment and hopelessness, and that just makes everything worse.

At Wise Mind Therapy we use Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and other research proven treatments to help you find calm and build the life you want. The treatments we use can often help you, even if other therapies haven't. We spend the first few sessions getting to know you, and what you'd like to change in your life. Next, we explain the treatment we would use to help you, and what your role in the treatment would be, and then we invite you to commit to working with us to create the life you want.
